Con’t …Final Thoughts from …The Search For Significance, by R. McGee
Regeneration
God was not idle during our physical formation in the womb. He was intimately involved with our creation. God fashioned each of us to be physically distinct from one another. Through regeneration, He gives us the capacity to reflect His image through our unique personality and appearance.
Regeneration provides you with a new system by which you can evaluate yourself and your life. Belief systems based on God’s truth about us lead to:
- Godly thoughts, which lead to
- Healthy emotions, which lead to
- Godly Actions
As your mind is renewed by the Spirit of God, and as you apply the Word of God in relationships with the people of God, your life will progressively change.
Moses used the excuse “Who am I? No one will listen to me! And I don’t speak very well, anyway!”(Exodus 3:11; 4:1,10) to try and keep from serving the Lord. Some of us excuse our unavailability to God by blaming our poor background or lack of education, training, available opportunities, fears, and so on.
God has dealt with your excuses by making you a new person with new potential and new capacities. Write across your excuses, I am a new creation – complete in Christ!
