Philippians 3:14  “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”   

(Monday-Friday, from my morning quiet time, I will write a short thought for that day which I pray God will use to motivate you to ‘GO’ for that day.  Your objective is simple…to GO…to GO OUT and share the love of Christ with someone in that day….to GO and bear fruit …to be light to the world.)

Summing up the week…

This week we looked at the God designed, vital necessity, absolutely must-do activity of spending time with God through His word and prayer.   Such is our spiritual ‘food’.  It is the spiritual fuel in our spiritual tank.  The spirit of God, working inside us brings revelation, clarity, direction, and power to do His will in our life.    We MUST…HAVE TO…spend time with Him…or our internal spiritual man will not have proper fuel and power to overcome the desires of our flesh.    We cannot ‘operate’ in this temporary realm of life as a fully functioning believer without God’s source and supply.  Time with Him …in His word…in prayer…is source and supply.   So increase your activity in both of these……

Now…my good friend and pastor is in India ministering/teaching leaders and pastors.   I copied a piece of his last communication via email. in the next paragraph.   It gripped my heart.   Wow… I was struck by what he is struck with in what I highlight in green.   I am wondering if any of you would like to donate to this goal of getting bibles to this outreach.  Let me know if you do and I will help facilitate it.

“Several pastors expressed such appreciation for the study Bibles they received last year and how it has helped them in their study and teaching. There’s a great need and desire for more study Bibles. In Rajasthan alone they need 100 (at only $18 each!).  Pray that we can make arrangements to supply these. They also need Study Bibles in Himachel Pradesh and Jammu, where I will be next week. I am struck with the contrast between the US where we have so many Bibles and here where they are treasured so highly.  Many people in the villages are illiterate so those who can read will gather others together and read to them.”

Father…help us to become hungry for You.   And help us to feed that hunger by spending time with You through your word and in prayer.   Amen
