Your daily goal:
Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
(Monday-Friday, from my morning quiet time, I will write a short thought for that day which I pray God will use to motivate you to ‘GO’ for that day. Your objective is simple…to GO…to GO OUT and share the love of Christ with someone in that day….to GO and bear fruit …to be light to the world.)

The Seed Growing Quietly and the Mustard Seed / Leaven
Mark 4:26-29 NASB, Jesus said “The kingdom of God is like a man who casts seed upon the soil; and he goes to bed at night and gets up by day, and the seed sprouts and grows – how, he himself does not know. The soil produces crops by itself; first the blade, then the head, then the mature grain in the head. But when the crop permits, he immediately puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Matthew 13:31-33 NASB, Jesus said “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches. The Kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened.”
Large movements of kingdom ‘growth’ start from small beginnings. If we plant the right DNA of the kingdom, the growth of the kingdom is inevitable. It is critical that we get the beginnings right. This is why our focus is to be on the initial expectations for the new disciple. We want to make it our practice that in the first few minutes/hours/days that a person comes to faith…to help them think through the implications of being a follower of Jesus and a fisher of men. We want them to, asap, receive encouragement to think about their lost family and friends and learn a way to witness to them (and eventually train them or make sure they are being trained). Our goal is make sure that from the beginning of their salvation they are receiving a vision to be the mustard seed of growth. The nature of kingdom growth is designed exponentially, by its nature, to grow beyond our human efforts.
Father….we pray ‘Your Kingdom come”…in our lives…’so that’ we can sow seed in others lives ‘so that’ we can see others come to find You as the treasure of their lives. Amen
