Your daily goal:
Philippians 3:14 “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
(Monday-Friday, from my daily study time, I will write a short thought for that day which I pray God will use to motivate you to ‘GO’ for that day. Your objective is simple…to GO…to GO OUT and share the love of Christ with someone in that day….to GO and bear fruit …to be light to the world.)

Dealing With Rejection
Fear of Rejection Symptoms. 9 symptoms that may indicate that ‘rejection’ has triggered certain problems in our lives: Today…#’s 7-9
#7 – Repeating of Negative Messages
One of the most interesting facets of our behavior is that we often repeat the messages that hurt the most. We do this even after the person who delivered the message the first time is no longer there – perhaps even dead. We continue to repeat to ourselves the most hurtful messages we have heard. How much of the pain you experience is related to your repeating these hurtful, negative messages?
#8 – Hypersensitivity to the Opinions of Others
Are you always vigilant concerning what others might think of you? Do you find yourself trying to anticipate their thoughts? Do you worry about what even absolute strangers might be thinking of you? How much time do you spend thinking about what other people might be thinking about you?
Many times people actually project their own negative feelings about themselves on others around them. In this way, wherever they go, they feel rejected by others. They find people who reject them in the same place that others find people who are very accepting of everyone.
#9 – Hyposensitivity
Some people are so fearful of their own emotions that they do not allow themselves to be sensitive to others or to themselves. They simply approach life as though they were an actor in a play. An actor simply fulfills a role. The actor may appear to be responding to the situation. But on closer inspection, one finds that he or she is just delivering rehearsed lines and going through preordained activities. Unfortunately, many of us find ourselves in such a situation.
We experience the fear of rejection and its accompanying problems because we believe Satan’s lie: Self-Worth = Performance + Others’ Opinions.
We crave love, fellowship, and intimacy, and we turn to others to meet those needs. The problem with basing our worth on the approval of others is that God is the only One who loves and appreciates us unconditionally. He has provide a solution to the fear of rejection.
(Tomorrow…. we move to God’s Answer: Reconciliation 😊)
Dear Father… I pray that all of us…in our imperfection…will begin today…to make sure we are loving people well….accepting them as Your creation. I am not saying or praying that we should accept bad behavior and mean stuff. No. I am saying that within what we ourselves have ability to control…that we seek to show the love of Jesus and acceptance to those around us. And Father I pray for healing and mending of all of the bumps and bruises to our emotional self that we have picked-up through our journey in life…I pray for you to apply your healing balm of unconditional love to those cracks and gouges in our heart and soul where pain and hurt have left their mark. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen
