Romans 1:20 NIV, Paul wrote     For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Hebrews 1:1-3 NIV, Paul wrote    In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe.  The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his belng, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

Biblical ‘Faith’ is ‘Not’ a ‘Leap of Faith’ …  No..Nada…NOT!   I often hear people say faith can only be a ‘hope’…a leap…because we can’t really know.   And that is simply because they have not experienced true faith at the spiritual level.   Such idea relates to the realm of ‘experience/understanding’.  Experience equals revelation.

I John 4:13 NIV, John wrote    We KNOW that we live in him and he in us, BECAUSE he has given us of his Spirit. 

In the natural realm we ‘SEE’, feel, absorb through our organic level senses.   In the ‘spiritual’ realm…we KNOW.  When God’s Spirit merges with our human spirit…’divine’ level knowing occurs…and this is what biblical ‘faith’ is…it is a ‘knowing’ faith….we know something because we know SOMEONE…     God created the universe through and by His Son, Jesus.  At the natural realm I can ‘see’ the world/universe all around me.  And through the internal knowing of the spiritual work of ‘spiritual faith’.. I KNOW that God created it.  I wasn’t there when God created the world..I didn’t see Jesus speak creation into existence by His words…but I can see what He made…I see the result…       And today, Jesus’ continues to speak in order to sustain the universe and ‘all things’ by that same powerful word.   In this temporary natural realm..I cannot see Jesus.  But in the Spiritual realm…I can KNOW HIM at the deepest personal level.

John Piper says it very well… “Faith is a kind of spiritual tasting of what God has promised so that we feel a deep, substantial assurance of things hoped for; and faith is a kind of spiritual seeing of the invisible fingerprints of God in the things he has made. By the one we know God’s power and wisdom to make us, and by the other we know his goodness and grace to save us.”

Sooo… I know because I ‘see’ and hear and feel with my organic senses….and I ‘KNOW’ …I mean really KNOW…absolutely have assurance and evidence that My God Reigns…that HE is…because I KNOW HIM at a divine knowing level through His Spirit living in my spirit.  And that is what Faith is…

Hebrews 11:1-2 NIV, Paul wrote   Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Father…I thank you that we can both ‘see’ and ‘taste’…we can see and KNOW.  Thank you for giving us a real and solid way of knowing you..for giving us solid and real assurance and that internal evidence that no one..nothing…can take from us.   Thank you..  Amen
