The Glory of God…  Some can ‘see’….some cannot ‘see’   (Con’t) 

The ‘Life’ of God  

The reason that men do ‘not’ see the glory of God is because that the power of the Sin entity that resides in our ‘flesh’ blinds…diminishes the ability of our human spirit to ‘see’ and ‘know’ the glory of God at a divine revelation level.  And because men cannot see the ‘light’ and do not see and know the ‘light’, their understanding is darkened…and their hearts become hardened to the TRUTH of the knowledge of the glory and light of God.  Simply stated..they have no light to show the way.

2 Corinthians 4:4 NIV  Paul writes    The god (Satan) of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers ‘so that’ they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

Ephesians  4:18 NIV   Paul writes      They are darkened in their understanding an separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

John 3:19 NIV    Jesus said    “This is the verdict:  Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.”

1 Corinthians 2:14 NIV   Paul writes     The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 

Let me reiterate the main point above:   The reason that men cannot/do not ‘see’ the glory of God is because of the impact and work of Sin in their flesh.  The God designed human spirit was designed/fashioned to be filled with the light, truth, love, and life of God.   That Sin nature…that Sin flesh…works to fill-up the God designed human spirit with false light…it seeks to substitute other ‘loves’ and false illusions of light…that can never satisfy.  And the more that a person seeks other loves and other sources of ‘light’ to fill-up their God designed space for His love and His light…the more they experience the effects of Sin at work to keep them in darkness and to further harden their sensitivity to God’s design for them to know His perfect and glorious light.

The human spirit, created in the image of God, was perfectly designed to only be fully functioning and running at its optimum operating capacity when filled and directed and controlled by the light and glory of God its designer/creator.

It takes the supernatural work of God to rejuvenate/regenerate/renew/ our human spirit and chisel away at the hardened heart and darkened mindset of the ‘flesh’ ‘so that’ we can come to implement the purpose of our creation…God’s intention in creating us….which is – ‘so that’- we can experience His divine nature…His ‘life’…inside us.   We experience God’s ‘life’ in us through coming to a revelation of God through salvation in and through Jesus Christ. 

And such is the work of God that occurs through ‘salvation’.   New birth must occur.  Only new birth in and through Jesus Christ provides the supernatural act of ‘in-breaking’ to create a shining into our hearts of divine glory ‘so that’ we can experience and walk in and breathe in and dwell in the ‘life’ of God.

2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV  Paul writes    For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.   

Father…oh…help us to see that we were made to know you…to love you…to experience you…to live ‘life’ in and through and with YOU.   Help us to allow YOUR Spirit that dwells inside us to transform us into all that YOU desire us to be…help us to hunger after that ‘life’ …that ‘life’ of full realized peace, joy, love and satisfaction that can only be found in YOU.   Then…help us to share the truth of that ‘life’ with others.  Amen
