(Monday-Friday, from my morning quiet time, I will write a short thought for that day which I pray God will use to motivate you to ‘GO’ for that day. Your objective is simple…to GO…to GO OUT and share the love of Christ with someone in that day….to GO and bear fruit …to be light to the world.)
Today’s Daily Light
God’s Divine Glory … Some can see it…some cannot….
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Romans 1:19-21 what may be know about God is plain to them because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, ‘so that’ men are without excuse…..For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him.
This morning’s sunrise… ‘declares’ the glory of God… it authenticates its Creator. The fact that the sun rises each day, with precision timing, in a designed splendor, is a daily testimony…a ‘declaration’ of the divine glory of the divine God who created it. God is not ‘in’ the things that He created…no…that is not what the bible says. The bible says God’s glory is declared…and can be seen by what has been made.
But…it takes a special-enabling from God…a ‘gift’ from God for a person to be able to ‘see’ Him… to ‘see’ His glory. We will study this spiritual truth a bit this week.
Lord..this morning…once again…I see your glory being declared in this new day…all around me…in not just the things outside in the natural order of nature…but in the beauty and light-of-life in the eyes of people in our life that we live and work with and hold dear…in all of the beauty and wonder of life that we see and touch everyday….I am thankful that your glory is declared by what you have created…. all of it. I see you as source and supply….and I declare with my mouth..from my heart..that YOU are God and Lord and Creator. I thank you for the gift of Jesus that you gave to us…for the gift of your spirit that lives inside us and gives us the ability to know your divine glory…to know you..and thus to glorify you. Amen
