Your daily goal:
Philippians 3:14  “press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
(Monday-Friday, from my daily study time, I will write a short thought for that day which I pray God will use to motivate you to ‘GO’ for that day.  Your objective is simple…to GO…to GO OUT and share the love of Christ with someone in that day….to GO and bear fruit …to be light to the world.)

Potential Obstacles To Receiving The ‘Truth’ of Propitiation
All of our lives we have experienced being made to feel bad about ourselves as a motivation from others.  It would only be natural that we take this methodology and use it on others as well as on ourselves.  For those who think this is a reasonable method to use, look in the Dake Study Bible, which lists 1,050 commandments to the Christian in the New Testament alone.  Try putting that list on your refrigerator and condemning yourself every time you violate any one of the 1,050 commandments.  This would be a sure way to lose any sense of joy that God wants you to experience.  In a later chapter, we will demonstrate that the Bible warns us that accepting condemnation will actually increase sin in our lives.
Holding On To Unforgiveness
We maintain unforgiveness for several reasons, including attempting to keep from being hurt again by those who have offended us.  If we hold on tounforgiveness, we cannot accept our own forgiveness.   In fact, the only way we escape the torment of having unforgiveness is to begin to contemplate our own forgiveness until it has so impacted our lives that we are able to forgive from our heart.
How do we begin to experience freedom from Satan’s lie Those who fail are unworthy of love and deserve to be punished?  We will be increasingly freed as we understand and apply the truth of propitiation in the context of loving and supportive relationships, where we can express ourselves honestly and receive both the warmth of affirmation and the challenge of God’s Word.
The Scriptures indicate that Satan accuses believers of being unworthy of God’s grace.  It is his desire that we cower under the fear of punishment.  Consider this passage from Revelation 12:10-11:
And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.   And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.”

How are we to overcome Satan, the accuser, and experience our acceptance in Christ?  According to this passage of Scripture, there is only one way:  by the sacrificial blood of Christ on the cross, the blood of the Lamb.  To do this, we must first stop trying to overcome our feelings of condemnation and failure by penitent actions.  Defending ourselves or trying to pay for our sins by our actions leads only to a guilt-and-penance spiral because we can never do enough on our own to justify our sins.  (con’t tomorrow 😊)

Father….help us to fully absorb..fully soak in…and know and taste and experience at our deepest internal level of knowing what we have in Grace, Justification, Reconciliation, and Propitiation…all which are woven into the redemptive work of Christ.. what Christ  Jesus did for us in His death and resurrection.  He ‘paid’ it all…purchased us ‘so that’ we can belong to You.   Help us to fully experience the ALL of Jesus ‘so that’ we can ‘go out’ and shine the light of that truth to those around us.  Amen
