Your daily goal:

Philippians 3:14  “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”   

(Monday-Friday, from my morning quiet time, I will write a short thought for that day which I pray God will use to motivate you to ‘GO’ for that day.  Your objective is simple…to GO…to GO OUT and share the love of Christ with someone in that day….to GO and bear fruit …to be light to the world.)

Today’s Daily Light:

In Hebrews, 12:1-2, Paul says “..let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.”

What Paul writes speaks more to our daily goal stated above..to press on toward the goal to win the prize. 

Paul knows that it is the goal of the sin nature to hinder and entangle us in distractions as we are going through each day in our short life.   I know in my own life how I get distracted, too busy, bogged down with stress and pressures of just trying to live the illusion of the life I seek to create.   I know how I get distracted and entangled by the draw and pull of this present world system and it’s ‘things’.  

I pray today that I will be less distracted, less hindered, and more prepared to identify the delusion and false realities of the things in this present world system that hinder and slow me down in my goal to win the prize as stated in p314.  I pray that, today, I will be that one piece of salt and light to someone…to be the words or be that touch that allows the love of Jesus to penetrate into their heart.
